PIRC Adopts Recommended Industry Background Screening Standard, Addresses Industry Definitions

February 14, 2020 - Salt Lake City, Utah – The Property Insurance & Restoration Conference (PIRC) held this week in Salt Lake City, Utah included the attendee adoption of a Recommended Background Screening Standard. As vocalized by participants spanning multiple industry segments, the lack of a standard for completing background screenings has led to widely varying requirements from the insurance companies and third-party administrators. The compliance to these variables affects all segments in areas of efficiency and workforce management.

PIRC Best Practices for Photo Documentation Gains Immediate Industry Support

September 5, 2019, Mechanicsville, Virginia – The Property Insurance and Restoration Conference (PIRC) is excited to announce the official adoption and release of the PIRC Best Practices for Photo Documentation, a document put forward by the Definitions Committee as a work product. Upon this document release came industry support from both the IICRC, or the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification and the RIA – Restoration Industry Association.
